June 13th – 14th, 2026 at the KW Granite Club, 99 Seagram Dr, Waterloo, ON a wargaming tournament to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

Registration

The Battle for Breath is free to attend. Come visit our vendors, buy some raffle tickets, and enjoy a drink. Individual tournaments have a fee to participate, details can be found below. Doors open 8:30am Saturday June 13th, 2026.

Raffle

Raffle tickets can be purchased leading up to and throughout the weekend via our online store. Raffle tickets cost; $1 per ticket.

The raffle draw will take place on Sunday, June 14th at 2pm. This lets our out-of-town folks stick around and collect prizes before having to drive home.

The raffle will continue to be completely digital raffle this year! You can you buy ticket directly from https://buymeacoffee.com/kwwargamingguild/extras on the draws you want to enter.

We will have a mechanism for folks that cannot purchase tickets online to buy with cash, please talk to an event organizer the day-of.

This makes it easy, you can buy tickets at anytime leading up to or during the event!

You can purchase tickets even if you cannot attend Battle for Breath, we will contact the winners via email and arrange to get the prize sent to you!
(either mailed or we can organize a pickup/drop-off)

Accommodations

We will be seeking to have accommodations available again at Waterloo College Hall (88 Seagram Drive). This is right across the street from the KW Granite Club where Battle for Breath is hosted. This rate includes parking. Each room has a single bed, sink, desk and closet unit. The washroom is shared with one other person and contains a toilet and shower. There are shared lounges on each floor.

Events

We’ve heard your feedback and we’re making some improvements, with your ticket purchase you will get;

• Lunch: We’re providing lunch. All events include a lunch for each day, if its a two-day you get a lunch on both days! We will have it dropped off to your TO’s headtable and you’ll be able to grab it once your round is done.
• Exclusive Event Specific Raffle Draw: Rather than having to claim a ticket for the general raffle -like we used to offer in years past- this year your TO will have some exclusive prizes that can only be won by players in your event! You’re automatically added to the draw, there is nothing you need to do.

Beyond that everything you need to know about your event will be provided in the player pack that your TO has prepared for you.

Marvel Crisis Protocol

This year we’re running a 6 round event. The tournament will run full length, all 6 rounds, even if there is a single undefeated player after 5 rounds. A true champion will be tested to hold the lead for the sixth game round. Initial player cap 36 players.

Star Wars Shatterpoint

This is a 5 round, 2 day event, with capacity starting at 28 players. The tournament will run full length, all 5 rounds, even if there is a single undefeated player after 4 rounds. A true champion will be tested to hold the lead for the 5th round.

Age of Sigmar

This is a 3 game, 1 day event, with capacity starting at 20 players. 3 games will be played on Saturday June 13th. Each match will be 3 hours long, giving each player 1 hour and 30 minutes. Chess clocks are not mandatory but are encouraged. If you or your opponent wish to use a chess clock it must be used.
