Battle For Breath 2024

The Battle For Breath is an annual charity event run by the KW Wargaming Guild in late October/early November. It’s a two day event comprised of tournaments for our most popular games with a raffle draw where all proceeds are donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

Raffle Tickets

As part of your registration you will receive raffle tickets. Additionally raffle tickets can be purchased the day of the event in cash. For those that cannot attend the event, you can email BattleForBreathOrganizers@gmail.com to buy raffle tickets and tell us which prizes you want to add them in for.

$10 for 7 Tickets
$20 for 15 Tickets

Raffle Draw

The raffle draw will take place on Sunday November 10th, at approximately 4pm (once the final event has been completed).

Tickets are placed in an individual pool (brown paper baggy) for each prize with the entrants name on it. We will simply draw a ticket from each bag an announce the winner. Those that are attending in person can claim their prize then, and anyone that isn’t available to claim their prize can co-ordinate pickup at a club night.

Blood Bowl Tournament (Saturday Nov 9th to Sunday Nov 10th)

Marvel Crisis Protocol Tournament (Saturday Nov 9th, Top 8 Cut Sunday November 10th)

This event is a LVO Points event, Top 8 players will get points towards LVO qualifier.

Registration at 8:30am, round one starts at 9:00am (both days), all players must pre-register on Longshanks and submit payment ahead of time via e-transfer to BattleForBreathOrganizers@gmail.com, include the event name (B4B MCP 2024) and your Name + Longshanks handle in the memo for the e-transfer.
Terrain: We have enough terrain and mats for the tables, we will be reaching out to members in the community directly to pull from their personal collections.

At the end of the first day we will announce the top 8 for the cut, if anyone drops out we will pull up other players to ensure we have a full 8 players for the 2nd day.

So if you’re wanting to play Shatterpoint on Sunday but happen to make the top 8 you can elect to dropout.
