About

The KW Wargaming Guild got its start in 2016 when a group of avid Warmachine and Hordes players began meeting in an office conference room after hours.

Since then, we’ve grown into a registered Not-for-Profit Organization under the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010. Today, we rent gaming space at the KW Granite Club every Thursday evening and run a thriving Discord community with over 150 members (and counting).

A Not-for-Profit Built for the Long Term

Being a not-for-profit means:

We hold annual general meetings for members.
We keep proper financial records.
We define by-laws to make sure the Guild can thrive for years to come.

Day-to-day, nothing changes for our members—you still come out, roll dice, and have fun. But behind the scenes, this structure gives us stability and sustainability.

How It Works

Our members pay a monthly fee that funds our gaming space, events, and community initiatives.

All Access Members can attend weekly game nights.
Occasional Members join when they can.
True Believers go above and beyond to help keep the Guild accessible to others.

We also run a weekly pizza order during game nights—now just $8 per person—and a monthly $25 gift card draw for all members.

Guest Night

Every 2nd Thursday of the month, paying subscribers can bring guests for free.

Bring a friend, coworker, or family member.
Introduce new players to the Guild.
See firsthand what our community is all about.

This is one of the easiest ways to get new faces into the hobby and into the Guild!

Game Ambassadors

For each of the game systems our members play, one person takes on the role of Game Ambassador. Ambassadors organize events, build community, and keep players connected both at the club and online.

New for 2025: Game Ambassador Event Kits

To support our GAs, we now offer Event Kits that include:

A $25 gift card
A Guild momento (patch, trophy, or similar)

Event requirements:

Minimum 5 participants
Free for all players (members and non-members)
Coordination must happen in our Discord (so admins can help with promotion)

Battle for Breath – our flagship charity tournament raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
