I get sentimental during the holiday season and enjoy taking time to reflect on the important things in my life.
As you’ve all seen this year has been incredible for our club. We’ve gone from an idea Scotty personably bootstrapped two years ago, to a registered Not-for-Profit Organization that is debt free and financially stable.
We did all of this while being able to lower our fees and increase our offerings for members.
While this might seam a little self-congratulatory, it wouldn’t have happened without everyone here believing in what we’re doing and continuing to support then club both; financially and socially.
Personally, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know more people this year both online and at club nights. I always come home feeling refreshed and a little jacked up (win or lose) on Thursday nights.
I also think what we’re doing is important both for ourselves and the broader local community.
We’ve seen examples in our Discord this year of folks sharing tough times and their appreciation for what the club has done for them. The general sentiment being that we’ve created an escape from the stress of life where we can engross ourselves in the wonderful worlds of our miniature games.
We’ve got something special going on here; good people, good vibes, good games. Let’s all protect it, and help it grow so others can join in 2025 and enjoy it as much as we do.
